General Information section
‘Measurement Year’ (read‑only) – Leave as is; it is prefilled with ‘2025’ and indicates the year to which all your energy data should correspond.
‘Allocation Ratio (%)’ – Enter a single percentage value that represents the portion of your facility’s total production for this customer (for example, 15.5).
Energy Consumption Data
Columns
For every activity row below, all entries must be recorded in MWh.
‘MWh from Renewable Sources’ – Enter the amount of energy from renewable sources (e.g., certified green electricity, on‑site solar, renewable steam, heat, cooling, or biomass).
‘MWh from Non‑Renewable Sources’ – Enter the amount of energy from fossil or other non‑renewable sources (e.g., grid electricity without certificates, natural gas, fuel oil, coal, or non‑renewable district heat or steam).
‘Total’ – Automatically calculated as the sum of renewable and non‑renewable MWh entries for that row.
Rows (Activity labels)
For each row, enter the annual consumption for the measurement year in the two MWh columns.
‘Consumption of fuel (excluding feedstock)’ – Enter all fuels burned on‑site for energy (e.g., boilers, furnaces, generators, or vehicles used on‑site), excluding any fuel used as raw material or feedstock in products.
‘Consumption of purchased or acquired electricity’ – Enter all electricity purchased from the grid or a supplier (including electricity received via PPAs) that is used in your operations.
‘Consumption of purchased or acquired heat’ – Enter district heating or any other heat purchased from an external provider (e.g., hot water supplied from a central plant not owned by you).
‘Consumption of purchased or acquired steam’ – Enter steam purchased from another company or network for process or space heating.
‘Consumption of purchased or acquired cooling’ – Enter chilled water or other cooling services purchased from an external provider (e.g., district cooling).
‘Self‑generated non‑fuel renewable energy’ – Enter renewable energy generated on‑site without burning fuel, such as solar PV or wind power that is consumed internally (not exported).
GHG Emissions Data
Suppliers must provide the pre‑calculated emission amounts for each Scope and category. This should represent the total emissions of the supplier’s company, not just the portion corresponding to the customer’s business ratio.
Columns (top headings)
‘Emissions (tCO₂e)’ – For each row, enter the total calculated emissions for that scope (or method) for the reporting year, in tonnes of CO₂ equivalent, with up to two decimal places (for example, 123.45).
‘Data Type’ – Use the drop‑down menu to select the quality or source of the data used (for example, ‘Measured activity data with supplier‑specific factor’, ‘Estimated / modelled data’, or any other options available in your system). Choose the description that best matches how the emissions for that row were calculated. This provides a high‑level overview of the overall data quality and comprehensiveness of the measurement.
‘Major Exclusions / Assumptions’ – In the text box, provide a brief note describing any significant exclusions or assumptions (for example, ‘Refrigerant top‑ups estimated from spend’ or ‘Small sales office fuel use excluded due to lack of data’).
Scope 1
Scope 1 – Emissions (tCO₂e) – Enter all direct emissions from sources that you own or control (e.g., on‑site fuel combustion, company vehicles, process emissions, or fugitive refrigerants) for the reporting year.
Scope 1 – Data Type / Major Exclusions / Assumptions – Select the data type used for your Scope 1 calculations and describe any significant exclusions or key estimation assumptions in the text box.
Scope 2 – Location‑based
Scope 2 – Location‑based – Emissions (tCO₂e) – Enter your Scope 2 emissions calculated using location‑based factors, which represent the grid‑average emission factors for the regions where you consume electricity, steam, heat, or cooling.
Scope 2 – Location‑based – Data Type / Major Exclusions / Assumptions – Choose the appropriate data type (for example, ‘Metered kWh with grid average factor’) and record any exclusions or assumptions, such as estimated data used for missing months.
Scope 2 – Market‑based (optional)
Scope 2 – Market‑based – Emissions (tCO₂e) – If you have contracts or instruments such as renewable energy certificates, PPAs, or supplier‑specific electricity, enter the market‑based Scope 2 emissions using emission factors that reflect those contractual purchases.
Scope 2 – Market‑based – Data Type / Major Exclusions / Assumptions – Select the data type that best applies (for example, ‘Contracted supply with supplier‑specific factor’) and note any assumptions, such as residual‑mix factors used for uncovered consumption.
Scope 3
Emissions (tCO₂e) – For each category (3.1 – 3.15), enter your calculated emissions for the reporting year in tonnes of CO₂e (e.g., 250.75).
‘Data Type’ – Use the drop‑down menu to specify the data source used for that category (for example, spend‑based estimate, activity data with generic factors, or supplier‑specific data—the exact options may vary by system).
‘Major Exclusions / Assumptions’ – Briefly describe any relevant exclusions or assumptions (e.g., ‘Excluded minor distributors due to data gaps; assumed average transport distance of 500 km’).
Please enter a pre‑calculated emission amount for each Scope category in tCO₂e.
